At TDCJ, he also worked in the post of a correction officer. On 29 July 2021, Thursday, he and his companion dog Bolo went through an accident in which both of them lost their lives.

On Thursday 9 July 2021, Bryant met with an accident in Lampasas. At the age of 54, he lost his life along with his companion bolo, a pet dog. On 6 August 2021 Friday visitation at Sneed Funeral Chapel was organized. The next day on 7 August 2021 funeral services were organized at the same place at around 2:00 p.m. Additionally, the burial was followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Bryant’s father David Osborne Bryant Sr, died predeceased him in the year 2018. And later Bryant and his dog’s brutal accident was a huge loss for their family, friends, and relatives.
